What better way to spend a Saturday than in the French world – you’ll have a coffee and some exquisite pastries at one of Sydney’s top patisseries; we visit a temple of all things French – with oil, salt, vinegar, truffles flown in from France and many great tastes; we then have a glass of bubbles and enjoy a guided visit through a kitchenware store that has many French gadgets and cookware classics and great cookbooks. We visit an artisan bread baker, one of Sydney’s top butchers, sample some luscious French cheese and enjoy lunch at a renowned bistro – with a glass of wine of course! This is heaven for cooks and lovers of beautiful flavours.

I wanted to give Gourmet food Safari some fabulous feedback from Steve and I after attending our food safari yesterday on the French tour. Wow what an amazing day. It's one of the best experiences we have had next to our round the world trip 2 years ago. We loved it! Our tour guide the wonderful Olivier was just fabulous and so accommodating. Knowledgeable, but of course you already know that, but he was fun and very entertaining too. The presenters at each of our stops were also terrific, engaging and enthusiastic. Another great thing about this day was that there was no pressure to buy products anywhere, just informative presentations, time for questions and a browse around. Though I could have filled a truck.
