Greek Islands |
Weāve just wrapped up our 4-Greek Islands Safari and it was a huge success. I absolutely love introducing guests to my favourite places and people around the world and our visits to people in Greece I’ve known now for over 25 years is always a delight. As the world gets stranger, our āsafaris bubbleā is such a warm welcoming place to be…connections with people who grow and cook regional, local, seasonal food…and we stay in some pretty luxurious places too. Good friendships are made within the group which is an added bonus.
If there’s a chance you’re interested in joining us for 2027, please have a read of the sample itinerary and send us an expression of interest and we’ll add you to the list. We will have pricing within the next 4 weeks. We will then commence the booking process. Dates are likely to beĀ 1st – 14th SeptemberĀ – weāve added another day to this safari due to the urging of our travellers that we needed just a little more time. There’s something about Greece that entirely puts you back together. We cook on 3 of the 4 islands and this is fun even if you’re not someone who cooks very much. Plus there are home visits and farm visits, lots of swimming and a couple of boat trips. The trip feels longer as we cover so much ground…but you end up feeling relaxed and ready to take on the world.
Hereās some feedback from the recent tour: Word to describe the safari: Amazing!Ā An intimate immersion into the culture and cuisine of 4 Greek islands āNS
āThoroughly enjoyed my first gourmet food safari. Tasted new things, discovered a different destination, and met some lovely like-minded travellers. Look forward to my next safariā – KT

New Zealand |
We are booking now for New Zealand in March and would love you to join us Ā – dates are 5th to 11th March – the most perfect time to visit the beautiful Central Otago region of the South Island. I love the passionate food and wine producers we visit right throughout the region. This year, many of our hosts have been newly awarded with Michelin stars – deservedly so in their promotion of the incredible produce of the island.
We include a visit to a wild island full of native birds in the middle of Lake Wanaka, we visit art galleries and photographers; greenstone carvers and have a morning exploring the Remarkables Market full of growers and creatives. Lunches and dinners are of course legendary and we stay at the luxe Hilton Hotel right on Lake Wakatipu. Here are some comments from our guests this year: Hi Suzy and Maeve, Sorry that we havenāt sent anything through to you as a review of the NZ Safari. Canāt do it in one word though. We love every Safari, but NZ was exceptional. From the first drink in the Pino Pit to our goodbyes as most of the group headed to the airport on their way home, the experiences, accommodation, food and wine, company, producers and restaurateurs, etc were all most enjoyable and very memorable. We would never have been able to do these had we travelled on our own. Thank you Maeve for your outstanding organisation, bright personality, introduction to these proud New Zealanders and unforgettable experiences. We stayed a few more days for birthday celebrations so we had a great two weeks in NZ. Many thanks, J and J |
